Steve Nixon skillfully combines soulful vocals with roots filled piano playing. Since moving to Chicago 5 years ago Steve has quickly become a powerful force in both the Chicago music scene and nationally.

He has delighted audiences by the thousands while sharing the stage with artists such as B.B. King, Wyclef Jean, Taj Mahal, Bernard Allison, John Lee Hooker Jr., and Liquid Soul. His playing has recently been heard on the nationally syndicated NPR program "AllThings Considered".

Steve's other credits include performing with such Grammy Nominated musicians as Lonnie Brooks, Shemekia Copeland, and Tab Benoit. He's also actively performed with Ronnie Baker Brooks, Kenny Neal, Floyd Taylor, Jellybean Johnson (Morris Day and the Time & Janet Jackson), Jerry Porter (Buddy Guy), Lunar Recording artist Blue Rage, Sammy Fender (A.C. Reed Band),

Frieda Lee, Neal Alger (Patricia Barber Quintet), the Voodoo Kings, and the international touring ChicagoChildren's Choir, In addition, he has done keyboard session work at RaxTrax, Super Buddha Studios, Moonlight Label, and Piper Toonz.

Steve has performed over 600 Chicago, Midwest, National, and International performances in venues such as the United Center, Ravinia, Taste of Chicago, House of Blues, Buddy Guy's Legends, The Double Door, the Green Mill, the Cubby Bear, Kingston Mines, and the Note. He is also a graduate of the Berklee College of Music.
